Microsoft Office for iPad to Arrive Soon

There had been rumors circulating about Microsoft Office for iPad coming soon and it seems it is finally going to materialize as The Daily columnist reports that an MS Officeapp for iPad is in the making and it will soon be available for download at the iTunes App Store.



The photos leaked out show an iOS theme of the Microsoft Office for iPad combined with a little bit of Metro as has already been revealed to come with the much awaited Windows 8 tablets. It is also being reported that Microsoft has no plans as yet to release and android version of Office which is obviously not good news for Android tablet owners.

Matt Hickey the author got to go through a “working prototype” of the MicrosoftOffice iPad app running on an iPad 2 and what he had to say about it is that the user interface features something of the metro language found in the Windows phone and the upcoming Windows 8 OS too. Files like Word, Excel and Powerpoint can be created as well as edited on the device itself or online. Besides that he isn’t sure whether Microsoft is going to support other of its Office apps at the launch or not.

iPad 3 Front Glass Image Leaked Out – Revealing No Changes in Particular

Debate about 4G licensing time still burns

Chatdem.Net Bridge – Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Bac Son has said that the ministry will only consider licensing 4G licenses by 2018, giving more time to help enterprises take back their investment capital from 3G network.



As such, the minister’s statement has given the final answer to the question when Vietnam should begin providing 4G services. However, in fact, opinions about the time to license 4G services still vary.

The draft national strategy on telecom development by 2020 said that by 2014, Vietnam would begin experimenting next-generation mobile services, while the providing of the services would be carried out from 2015. By 2018, Vietnam would consider re-arranging the wavebands now being used for 2G networks, radio and broadcasting so as to use for the next-generation mobile information system (IMT advance – 4G).

Over 120 amateur and professional golfers will be competing in the third annual Thu Duc Garden Homes Invitational at the Ocean Dunes golf club in Phan Thiet City on March 3-4.

Eurozone reaches Greek bailout deal

Finance ministers from the eurozone reached a Greek bailout plan early Tuesday, agreeing on measures to reduce the country's debt level to 120.5 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) by 2020.

Obama to meet Netanyahu at White House on March 5

U.S. President Barack Obama will meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on March 5, as a potential Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear sites has become a hot topic in Washington, the White House said on Monday.



Tom Donilon, the president's national security advisor who just concluded a three-day visit to Israel, relayed to Netanyahu that Obama "looks forward to meeting with him," the White House said.

In his consultations with senior Israeli officials including Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Chief of the General Staff Benny Gantz and National Security Advisor Yaakov Amidror, Donilon addressed the "full range of security issues of mutual concern," the White House said in a statement.
